Reception:

Amantha Writer

Hi! My name is Amantha Writer and I was born and raised here in the O.C. growing up I have always had cats, until I moved to France in 2004. This is when I fell in love with dogs. I lived with a family that had a Chow and a Great Dane Mix and felt like these dogs were my big brothers who always protected me. When I moved back to the states, I told my family I wanted a dog for Christmas, sure enough that Christmas in 2005 I got a Lhasa Apso named Elvis. Elvis is my pride and joy until recently I adopted a puppy from the Pet Rescue Center at the Alicia Pet Care Center this past October and he became my mom?s dog. Now, Lacey is her name and she is a pure mutt. She gets so excited when she gets to come to work with Mommy because she sleeps as Mommy works.
Besides working at a wonderful facility, I am passionate about swing dancing. I have been swing dancing for the past 5 years and started teaching 2 years ago. I enjoy it so that I started my own swing dance club in Costa Mesa on Thursday nights. My mom and grandmother tell me almost every day I was born in the wrong era. So swing on by!!!

Judy Noval
Hi, my name is Judy Noval and I am a native of beautiful Mission Viejo. After graduation from Mission Viejo High School I turned my attention to the care and comfort of animals. Beginning in the summer in of 2002 I volunteered at the Berryessa Veterinary Services Hospital just minutes from UC Davis. In 2003 I began working with Dr. Wheaton and it was at that time I decided to further my knowledge and skills in veterinary technology by attending and graduating from Professional Veterinary Assistant School. I am currently preparing myself to take the state board exam to become a licensed technician. I enjoy informing society about the special needs of their pets and aiding animals by providing excellent care and service for them.
My animal family consists of a Pet Rescue Center cat named Sebastian. He won my heart with his stoic personality in the face of his personal adversity. Although he has the use of three legs, he can still mix it up with the best of them (not to mention leave me to eat his dust when he gets going).
Besides having a fun loving yet technical job and living with Sebastian, I have a passion for running! 14 years and counting. I am also absolutely enthralled with the Beatles and definitely appreciate solid gold oldies and classic rock. You will most likely catch me speed walking or trotting around the the hospital humming a classic melody as I work.
I look forward to serving you and your babies!

Andrea Quihuis
Hello, my name is Andrea, and I am a tech assistant here at ASN. I have lived in southern California my entire life, and just love it! As long as I can be close to the ocean, I am happy.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiance, family and friends. We like to travel, so any chance I get were off to Lake Havasu, Palm Springs or Vegas for a little mini holiday.
I also am attending school for a degree in Criminal Justice. Someday I would love to be an Animal Control Officer. The love and compassion I have for animals is so strong, that I want to protect them all from being mistreated and/or neglected. So, if I can provide some justice, that would be a great accomplishment for them and myself.
My family of pets include my cat Leo and Sydney, a mini Aussie. I have had dogs and cats my entire life growing up. However, I rescued Leo from a shelter, and he has been the best cat I have ever owned. I always felt he knew I saved him, that's why he's so sweet and affectionate towards me, and everyone else for that matter. He tries really hard to stay out of trouble, for the most part. Sydney is very cute and smart with her big inquiring ears. However, she is very jealous of Leo. She makes sure he knows she is queen bee of the house.
Working here at ASN, has given me such great experience and exposure to animals and their behaviors. Which will someday benefit other pets in need. All of us here, take such pride and care to the pets that come in to see us, that we treat them all as if they were are own. I am very proud to be working at such a great and respectable clinic. Please come see us for your future spay and neuter needs.
